McCain "Country First??"

I find it very interesting that the McCain/ Palin signs are not red white and blue, which are our nations colors, but they are blue and gold. Did we change our colors and someone didn't tell me. I hate when that happens. Also, if country is first then why not have the our colors on your sign. Obama/ Biden signs have red white and blue, no gold. Does the gold represent that they are in it for the rich and don't care about the middle or lower class and that is why they have chosen gold. Who knows? Just a thought I was thinking as I was driving and noticed that the McCain signs are not in anyones yard but are littering street corners.

Prop 8

I was just checking out the Ca Equality website and noticed that AT&T was given special thanks. Does that mean that the proponents of prop 8 are going to stop using AT&T now along with Google, plus stop watching and listening to the hollywood stars that have donated to no on prop 8.

Log Cabin Republicans

The Republican party has yet voted against your interest.  Yet, you still support them.  Why?  I have yet to understand the Log Cabin Republicans. They are  fighting for Prop. 8 in Ca.  Which would deny its members of their rights.  Rights which by California Law they have now.  I just don't understand it.  Why?

Gay Marriage

Well, I was looking into the gay marriage proposal ban in CA.  And noticed that the Catholic Church has spoke out to get gay marriage thrown out with preposition 8.   There reason for this is that a child could not result from gay people.  So, using this logic they are saying that for there to be a marriage that there must be a chance for a child to result.  So, shouldn't it be Catholic law for the male and female to be tested and see if they are infertile. And if they are then a marriage should not be granted.  Or is the Catholic church just trying to blow smoke and descriminate against more people.  So the Catholic church can cover up molesting priest, but can not find it reasonable for two people who love eachother and are consenting adults to marry.  What the hell?

Well, I got home yesterday morning at 2 am.  So last night I was a bit tired and I had to work last night.  So now I am relaxing a little before I call school to get my financial aide straighted out and classes straightened out too.
I just figured out so far what my school bill will be.  $1206.50 after my scholarship but before the cost of books.  I was hoping my scholarship would cover more. :(

GLSEN Summit Day 1

Well, my trip went rather well.  Nothing major to report.  My flight from Chicago to Maine was about an hour late and they over booked.  They had to kick 5 people off so that we could go.  At least they were compensated. :)
One of the Maine people brought their dog.  It made me think of Buddy.  Plus I was showing pictures of Buddy, Johnny, and of course Josh.

Well I just ran across this great had from Heinz that was pulled becasue 200 people complained.  It features 2 guys kissing oh no.  Sign the petition to get it reinstated.  The petition already has over 1300 signatures.  Way more than 200.

Obama

Well,  I was kind of scared when I heard that Obama was supporting Faith Based Initiatives.  Well I actually looked more into this.  He would allow them to get federal money but they could not discriminate against people who do not belong to their faith and they can't force their religion by requiring them to come to services for the services that they would provide with federal money.  So this would change the current law that allows them to discriminate against people of other religions.  So Yeah to Obama '08.

I was just looking at the comments for the Gay Marriage piece.  They are mostly anti gay.  A comment posted today is up but not mine I posted the night before last.  What is up with that?

I posted a comment on the WILX website last night and it still hasn't shown up.  I know they moterate it, but are they preventing possitive gay feedback?  I wonder if someone else posts a comment what would happen.  Maybe they had too many comments and are just busy.

A Post?

Hey, well it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Partly because I have not been feeling well and other because I have been lazy. Well, I am currently sitting at this nice little cafe using their free wifi before I go to the chiropractor. I was just thinking I should make a post all though I don't think any one but maybe Josh reads it. I am waiting for my letter from the nursing dept. to tell me if I got in or not. Hopefully I should find out soon. I need instant gratification if you know me you would understand this. I also am looking forward to the prospect of being hired part time by michigan equality. If not I plan on doing some volunteer stuff there. Because damn it I want to marry. :)

Just a little pissed off.  Dave moved his couch and in the prossess gouged the floor.  We are talking like 4 feet long and all over the hardwood floor.  I don't think you can fix that except by sanding the whole floor.  GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Well, that's not the kicker they can not be held responsible for the deaths they cause because the Chinese government will not let us look at things, investigate, or prosecute. I think if you can not be held responsible if your product kills someone because you put in dangerous chemicals then you should not be able to sell it in the USA. When I go to the hospital and have to have dialysis I want to know that this drug is not going to be contaminated and kill me. So if the government bans Chinese products from being sold unless they can be held accountable then I think that will force them to make safer products. If not that warn people if it is made in china, with a giant label like Canadian cigarettes.

Well tomorrow is sounding great.  I can't wait to go to Chicago tomorrow.  Yippee.  I am done with school for this week.  Yeah.

Well we got it figured out.  Apparently the Muskegon Secretary of State office reissued a transfer plate with my plate number.  By doing this it changed my license plate number to someone else and thus I did not get a renewal statement.  What the hell?  So now I had to get a brand new license plate.  At least they didnt make me pay extra for not doing this earler.  I don't think I would of even thought about it .  The only reason was because of the cop that pulled me over because I didn't have the right plate number.  Oh and by the way my vin was identified as my old plate number which you can't even have anymore because it is the old style.  Who is running this place?  I definatly am not voting for Terri Lynn Land this year.  Especially if this is how she runs the place.

Well I am having a hell of a day.  Got pulled over today because the cop decided to run my license plate.  Seems like I forgot to register.  Well, that sucks I don't think I got a renewal notice though.  So luckly he didnt give me a ticket.  So life sucks

Well today was the Safe Schools Lobby Day.  It went great!  Last night was our Lawerence King Vigil we had about 50 people there.  I have pictures that I will be posting once I find my camera.

Well, I did well on my microbiology exam.
My pharmacology exam on the other hand I sucked 74% what the fuck.  Did I take I am stupid pill this morning. I am so pissed.  Now unless I get an average of 93% on the next two exams I can kiss my 4 pt. goodbye.  Damn this fucking sucks.  I studied why did I do so bad.  GRRRRRRRRRRR

Remembering Lawrence

Okay, I just read my email about this tragic event. At 15 you are still tryin to figure yourself out, at least I was at that age. I think it is awful that somone was killed. This is crazy how bulling can lead to murder. This is why we need antibullying laws. Maybe if we would have had them along with diversity clases maybe this poor child would not have been murdered.
